Bending and Ripping Koa wood

One day, I tried to bend a piece of #Koa I bought from a reseller in #Hawai. Big mistake, the piece broke very easily, although I had never broken a piece before. I decided to go for #laminatedSides using the remaining side as decorative wood. It means I had to rip saw it...by hand, I don't have a band saw.... This is what I got, after a few tens of minutes.

The story does not tell what happened to this pieces :-)
